The Shelter Foundation Initiative (TSF) is a registered non-governmental organisation dedicated to strengthening child protection systems and advancing inclusive education in Nigeria.

We believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment where they have equal opportunities to learn, develop, and reach their full potential, regardless of their background, circumstances, or abilities.

Our work focuses on supporting vulnerable children, empowering families, strengthening professional practice, and influencing policies that protect children’s rights and promote inclusion. We recognise that lasting change happens when families, schools, communities, professionals, and governments work together to create environments where children can thrive.

Through research, capacity building, advocacy, and strategic partnerships, The Shelter Institute works to improve child protection systems, promote family-based care, and ensure that children with learning difficulties and disabilities receive the support they need to succeed.
